Default Soft Top Tailgate Gap?

So I had a trektop (the original one piece) on my Jeep for the summers and then sold my hard top and got a Bestop Supertop with the twill. My trektop had a gap in the back above the tailgate but it didn't bother me since I only used it in the summer. However..my new supertop ALSO has the same gap. I always look at other Jeeps with soft tops and they don't seem to have this problem. Is this normal? I was wondering if I had the tailgate bar on wrong but I don't think that's even possible since the back window only has one side to slide into. Is there something I can buy that will fit over the tailgate door to seal the gap? I can't find anything about this online. I just don't want that to be open like that especially through a new england winter. I'd definitely get snow inside the trunk all the time. Here's a pic from the inside, I couldn't get a good pic of it from the outside. It's a good size gap maybe about an inch. Any advice will be appreciated!

Your tailgate bar is on wrong. I can take a picture of mine tonight if you can't figure it out. I can't tell from your picture whether you have it reversed or upside down.

Are you sure the rubber seal didn't fall off? When I got my treetop didn't come with the bar or the seal. Just a thought

YW. No reason to be embarrassed. We all started at the beginning.

Sure beats rain coming in...or for you, snow pretty soon.

On a side note, I used to work in Wustah.
