I sold my 2009 unlimited X 4 door last night.. it was time.. chiropractor says the shifting gears is part of my back issues (i sit all way back and stretch my legs out to clutch)...

also set being the contortionist to put the top down and up all the time was issue too...

I also didnt need so much space and never hauled anything in it like I thought I would..

so away she went...




BUT!! you guys cannot get rid of me here that easy!!!

after all I am trying to be the one who has owned the most wranglers...

he is a simple 2010 Sport with auto, tint, power pkg, infinity, sirius... I got a Great deal on my trade in and also the new purchase I got the 1% under invoice.. probably not a SMOKIN deal but when they gave me KBB Excellent + a little on my trade I cant complain...

the mods have already commenced.. soon the U-connect with iPod, along with the Remote start system will be installed..

it was sure nice to not have to shift on the 125 mile trek home from the dealer through construction zones...

Did you notice any difference in drive between the 4dr and 2dr? Other then the 2dr being easier to parallel park I ask because I have never driven a 4dr Jeep Wrangler

Hey come on. I couldn't be without a jeep!!

The things I notice so far are that the ride is a bit softer in the 4 door than 2 door.. doesn't bother me.. still much better than a tj ride.. long wheel base will always be softer ride

Even with the larger top I think the 4 dr was a bit quieter.. my guess because there was glass windows directly behind me instead of plastic.. and the wheels are farther back..

The ac is def colder in the 2 dr... I might not need the ac mod.
Stereo sound better too with smaller area inside.

With it being a fresh build.. the rear springs haven't settled yet.. looks almost like it has a small lift..

All in all I'm glad to be back to the shorter jeep. The 4 dr serves a good purpose and I'm glad they make them.. allows families and overlanders the room to be comfortable.. but for me a single guy the 2 door fits better..

It sure is easier to put the top down on it!

I have the auto because of my back as well. Fusion and nerve damage has weekend my left leg. The top will be easy, I just climb in the back of the jeep and pull it over the sound bar when I have to do it by myself. I took out the back seat because I HAVE kids! LOL!

 

What is the AC Mod? I must have missed this one.

wow just put the top down... thats about 10 TIMES EASIER on the 2010 than it was on my 2009!.. well plus being a 2 door too.

the A/C mod is if you need colder air-cond.. you can fit a resistor across the A/C evaporator temp thermistor to skew it slightly.... my 08 needed it bad.. the 09 got it too.. not sure on the 10 yet.. need to measure vent temps and see how it goes...

Whew! Its a good thing that the story had a good ending, because I was about to chime in that "all was not lost and that you can still get the auto!!!"
