Space in 2 door?
Ok I don't know if anyone can chime in here.. But I am single.. and have always had smaller sports cars.. I just put a deposit down on a 4 door auto rubi.. but am now.. really re thinking myself.. I have a 70lbs dog.. and I was thinking how much room is there with the back seats out of the 2 door? and is there a safe way to harness my dog? in the 2 door?
Also how bad would long trips be in the 2 door vs the 4 door.... I literally have like 36 hours here to decide LOL.. I'm losing sleep over this.. I just need some insight

personally I think the 2 door is great for space, although I dont have a dog... I am single and have packed everything I need for a week long trip into the back with room to spare and had the top down. if you kept the top up there would be even more room. The first thing I did was take out the back seat. Throwing a dog into the mixture is a tough one though. Hope you make your decision without any regrets!
Stacks of room without the back seat...
Heaps of places to help with strapping the dog.
We have done 6000km trips (@3500 miles) no probs with the gear and the ride...

you will love it no matter what!
If it's just you and your dog, I think a 2-dr would be perfect. But, also consider the possibility of another person....
I have a 2-dr with the back seat out and it would be great to have the extra room for me and Bullfrog.
But, we've learned to deal with our lack of space and it's actually worked out well. It really comes down to you and what you can live with and without.

Juts bought my 2-door and I'm married with two kids. It's comfortable for everyone with the kids in the back and my wife and I in the front. It's our second car (we also have a minivan) so storage space isn't a priority.
But even with all of us in the car, we're still able to take it to the cottage. Last week we loaded the back storage area with a large suitcase, a small suitcase, a cooler (you'll need a narrow one), and some other misc stuff. It was packed ... but we did it.
So with the back seat out (or even just folded up), I think you'll have tons of space for your dog. I say go with the 2-door, you'll save yourself $4500.
If you want to be sure. Why not take your dog to the dealership and put him in the back?
