Think I will be investing in one of these soon!
Yep hard or soft top goes right over so you don't have to ever take it off.

I installed this when I installed my Trektop. Such a great difference. I went from hardtop without spiderwebshade to my current set up and I love it. Nice thing is, as mentioned, don't need to remove it at all.
No problems with gaps or anything, it's just hella comfortable and the Houston sun is tolerable. I notice I use sunrider position about 300 times more often because the wind and sun are cut down to a comfortable level. Definitely prefer top down to the bikini top position which blocks out all sun.
Did I mention how much I love this thing? I got theore expensive trail mesh for durability.

I have a spiderwebshade and hard top. How do you get the freedom panels on when the spiderwebshade is completely installed? I have to undo the front part of the shade (3 small spider balls) and pull the shade back in order to latch the freedom panels by the windshield.

I don't have a hard top but for my soft top I removed the two spider balls that attach at the latches. So I have one on each corner and one in the middle. Works perfect. I don't even reattach the other two when I take the top down. Really no difference. Doesn't flap around or anything.

You could try that even though you have a hard top.

There is almost no gap if you use the three short spider balls in the front. And the longer spider balls can be positioned inside the plastic trim at the very corners of the front. I found it easier to install the corner ones, sliding the bungee cord as far forward as possible, if I first undid the front of the door surround and moved it away from the roll bar.

Yeah I am also curious of this. If I don't have to take it off I will get some.
But I don't see how you install the freedom panels with that in the way.
Any of you hardtop guys know the solution?
