I guess I'm one lucky guy, my wife can drive a stick shift. Actually, I taught her to drive on a manual. We had a TJ with an automatic, our JK has the six speed. I'll take the six speed any day and our JK is our daily driver. We don't find the manual in traffic to be that big a deal and if you want to up the size of your tires some, the six speed will be more forgiving than the auto without regearing. Just my opinion.

Manual so you can get the most out of this weak ass engine.

When I get the Hemi, I'll likely switch over to auto. I had a Commander with a Hemi and I loved the power.

There is something about an auto that makes a jeep less of a jeep. Kinda like square headlights and 4 doors. Might even say that about A/C and hard tops, Sat Radio, etc....

Manual. Autos are for soccer moms. And soccer dads that wish to stay in good graces with their soccer mom wives.

All good points. My old CJ was a manual and I admit, I kinda miss it. But, times change and the more the wife likes the JK, the more stuff I get to put on it without complaints.

I got and like the auto, because I was paying for it, and that is what I wanted.
