I removed my X decals because I didn't like the look. I'm probably going to remove my Wrangler decals also. I'm giving some thought to putting some plain Jeep decals on in their place. Kind of a throw back thing. I know the older Jeeps had a raised metal platform on the fenders with decals over them.

As far as the chrome Jeep badges and the trail rated badges go, I kind of like them.

I removed all of mine so far including the JEEP on the grill (to go old school style). I replaced the silver Rubicon with black because I wanted to ghost it, but the black sticker matches the paint to well and it dissappeared. I'm going to try and get a sign shop to make some (if they can get them very close to the correct look and size) in a dark grey or dark silver and put the same color JEEP decals in the place of the Wrangler Unlimited (everyone knows it a Wrangler and duuhhhh, it has 4 doors) as a throw back to go with my AMC Jeep emblem on back.

If only. Some people know it had 4 doors, but not very many people know it is a Wrangler. More ask if I can take the top off (no, I had the metal covered with vinyl to look that way you clown). Hell, quite a few don't know it is a Jeep, and one asked why I put Jeep wheels on a Hummer. I just looked at him.

Ok, you are absolutely right, let me ammend my previous statement. The people that matter, know its a Wrangler, others can just keep offering hummers...........uh I mean asking about Hummers..........and I'll direct them to the local mall.

BLKRUBI, that's a very neat AMC Jeep emblem on the back of your Jeep. That I may have to copy!

I too removed all stickers and "Jeep" emblem from the grill. I think it looks cleaner and it is in keeping with the CJ. I've thought about getting some Jeep stickers for the fender to copy the CJ/YJ/TJ.

Thanks, Sounds like you and I have similar tastes. The AMC emblem is new-old-stock that I picked up from a somewhat local dealer (yes, they still had some AMC Jeep emblems, unreal) to use when I repainted my CJ. I never got around to it so when I sold my CJ, I kept the emblem. I thought I might use it on a future CJ. Anyway, I decided to put it on the JK instead. I had to replace the tape on the back because the paper wouldn't come of of it. Anyway, that's why I'm rearranging emblems, to put the JK back in line with the CJ/YJ/TJ and tradition, even IF a four door isn't tradition...............it's evolution.
