Still Waiting...Six Months Now
Hi, again everybody.
I ordered my 4-door X with half doors six months ago, and it has never gotten beyond the "sub-firm schedule" step.
Is patience my only option, or is there anyone at DCX that I can whine to in order to increase my chances of winning the build-schedule lottery?

Are there other dealers in your area you could place another order through?
There really isn't a "lottery", your build is at the mercy of your ordering dealer's allocation. Have you quizzed your dealer on what his allocation is?
Now you did order half doors, which were late in even being offered, and then of course you had the cutoff point from 2007s being built, factory changes for 2008 (which appear to be minimal), then production starting up for 2008 in there....so a month or so of your wait is a wait everyone, regardless of large dealer or not has went through.
DO an inventory search of dealers within a 500 mile radius of your home for what JKs they may have on the lot....and if you find one matching what you ordered, or acceptable to you on any changes, demand your dealer work out a dealer trade with them....or call up that dealer, and do the trade direct with them.
