Default Stuff to replace right off the bat

What should a new JK owner replace knowing they will be doing moderate off road stuff?

I know there are some cheap parts on the JK; but which ones need to be upgraded right away?

Tires... Springs, shocks, trac bars.... Gears.... Axles if you don't have a rubi.... Engine upgrade to a hemi...and bumpers! But thats getting expensive... Don't worry about doing anything "right away" you will realize what you need the more you wheel and build you jeep accordingly over time depending on your needs

If your going right out to the trails and rocks... I would look into a relocation or skid for your evap.... If you don't have a rubi... Swap tires... Other wise it pretty capable.. Lift it gear it and run it!

This is a must do for sure. The biggest engineering oversight on the JK IMHO.

Good luck with that, you may be waiting a while. I still haven't seen anything but rumors on this. Just like years ago when there was rumors about Diesels and V-8s from the factory.

I wish I would have asked this question when I purchased my JK...while every persons necessities may be different, here are some things that I believe had the most benefit right off the bat...

All of this stuff can be purchased off of Northridge4x4.com

1. Daystar Jeep JK Wrangler Hood Latches
2. IPF 920H4 JK Headlights
3. MasterCraft Grab Handles
