Default stupid windows

<rant>
on the way to work today a heard a nice pop....

on the way home from work today i noticed a nice big chip in my window....

goes without saying, welcome to wrangler ownership....damn non-aerodynamic windows..... At least it was on the passenger side.

</rant>

On a positive note, we've had hellish rains in Oklahoma the last week..and my soft top has done well..not a leak to be seen! Now I just need to get my freedom top off the soaking ground and I'll be good to go.

Been there done that 2 months ago drivers side and I watched the rock in sort of slow motion. If they replace the window make sure they don't call you in then find out the new one is also broken like they did on me. I ended up waiting another week to get another one.

At least I'm not alone, 400 miles before my first crack. good news, I called the glass company we use at work $300.00 installed, then called my dealer for the heck of it, $200.00

Got one right in my field of vision last week. The thing is though, I never got one on my TJ and that thing was less aerodynamic than the JK.

i busted my TJ windshield. a tree fell on it wheeling.

the JK's are "more aerodynamic", but the sloped grill and slightly rounded windshield are what make it so. it also makes the windshield more vulnerable.

I had a good size chip at 1500 miles. Cost me $50 to get fixed,can still see it some. I been crossing my fingers i don't get more. What a rain in Okla! and no leaks from soft top. I am very happy with my JK rubi.

I gotta ask, how did a tree fall on it? Storm or you didn't figure out your angle of first cut with a chainsaw right?

well, it wasn't a whole tree...

i was wheeling in the forest in MA, and a big, dead limb came crashing down from the canopy. laid itself from the windshield frame to the sport bar, covering me in glass. scared the holy carp out of my passenger. i even jumped a little.

For all of you paying for replacement windshields..... doesn't your car insurance cover this? Just curious.....

Sure does, but sometimes the deductible is equal to replacement cost, or close to it.
