Teraflex lift and beach riding
#11
I run the 2.5 TF coil lift with shock adapters. if I didn't have brand new Rubicon shocks I would have bought shocks too. love the lift couldn't tell you exactly the lift I got out of it. if your plannaning bumpers and winch Def. look at coil lifts. I run mine out at the obx almost every weekend and can't complain I just disconnect so I don't get bounced around to much. here is a couple pictures one with stock flares and one after I chopped the flares. both are with bumper and winch on front so about an extra 170 lbs. and I'm running 315/75/16

To help with the bouncing around (ride quality) you can just drop your tire pressure- it's better for the vehicle that way too.

The budget boost would probably suit your needs well. A spring kit would give you more articulation which won't help with what you're doing. The 3" will clear 37" tires with the proper wheels and bumpstops. That's more than you need and will make those 35" tires look small.

I've got to disagree....the full spring kit would be nicer on the beach where you want the entire length of the coil to absorb the motion instead of just a portion of it.
Furthermore- 3" and 35's is fine, I don't find it to be over the top. 3" and 35's is *right* and 3" is what people elect to do for LCG 37's.
Just my opinion, but those are like assholes- everyone's got one and they all stink.

That's great if its the same spring rate. Many aftermarket springs are designed for heavy bumpers and armor. They will make a stock JK sit higher than advertised and be harsher on the road. I was running 35" tires on a leveling kit before moving to a 3.5" RK. I really want 37"s now!

I know just about 0 about all this installing of stuff. My brother has a connection at Pungo Off Road, so I was leaning towards them. Any feedback on those guys?
I hear that the 2.5 max travel can actually net you 4 inches of lift if you are not equipped with aftermarket bumpers, etc…is this true? If so, will I have to mess with driveshafts and brake lines and all that business?

You won't go that tall on a 4dr. I have the 3.5" and I'm pretty light. I sit level with a guy in our club running the TF 4". The driveshaft mostly becomes an issue at full droop. Shorter shocks or limiting straps will help with the problem. However you will probably never have that problem on the beach.
