Teraflex lift and beach riding
So how many of you did your own lift installs? I have never worked on a jeep or done anything like this, but I have read it is not to complicated and that it is a great way to get to know your ride.

It's really quite simple, took me a bit for I was doing it while I was at work, lol. I recommend having tall jackstands and two jacks (a garage jack and your factory jack will suffice). I would say I could have done it all in less than 4 hours, and that's with us running to Pepboys to mount the new shoes. Metric tools are a must.
It's all parts changing. You take out one part and replace it with another. A couple of jack stands and some basic hand tools are all you really need. Lots of people run shocks longer than are required. That allows for more downward travel. This travel will allow the front driveshaft to make contact with the transmission crossmember. This contact will eventually tear the boot and let the grease out. The stock drive shafts are not serviceable and this condition would require a new driveshaft.
