the biggest problem I see with this "carrier", besides the price, is the hinge plate only goes to one side of the tire carrier. What happens when you come off that ledge and your tire takes the hit from 3-4 maybe 5 ft. depending on departure angle? I'm sure everyone has seen what it does to a stock setup, Tail gate buckle? Is the hinge plate on half the tailgate really gonna stop that from happening? Just curious.
