Are these still the best Hardtop quick release option?

Lange Original sells 2 kits I see as well, but the more expensive kit only comes with 4 bolts and the verbage says 4 are more than enough.

$35

$60

I also found these for $20 on fleebay from seller "Upper Bound"

I just want a convenient option to the Torx.

Taking the torx screwdriver or this expensive kit, it won't be faster to remove your hardtop. Don't waste your money for that.

Hell, the stock torx come off quick enough, it's getting the damn top itself off that's a pain.

Thanks for the replies! I haven't taken my top off yet. It was just anticipation.

After having my torx bit fall off the rachet and disappear into the interior of my Jeep somewhere I can see the benefit that could be had from using any of the above options (I like #3 for the price). Plus no more wrench to deal with. It may also help deter one from over-tightening the bolts and cracking the top. Since I take my top off once a year (for all summer) I'll continue to deal with the stockers though.

I have the first ones ($35). They work great. Believe me, its a lot faster than using a torx or a drill. I can have the 6 screws out in less than 30 seconds without fumbling around.

#3 looks to be a better deal, but do they screw into the stock bolt plate? If you have to use a different bolt plate shown, it will slow you down considerably

I have the small black and decker cordless driver,, fits in the palm of your hand,, more than enough power to do the job, its rechargable, and came with like 50 bits,, $27.95 at HD.. I keep it in the garage and use it mainly on the jeep.. all 6 screws out in just seconds.. and then I drive them back in so the nut clip doesnt rattle or fall off over the summer.. It also goes with me in the jeep on outting as you never know where you might need it.. And I only take the top off once a year,, so why change the screws out? I dont even have a soft top,, just a bikini but my had top is off early and doesnt go back on till night temps drop into the 30's..
