So I currently have an 07 jku x With 33's and 2.5" lift. (71k mi). I've been really tempted to trade up before my value drops dramatically but I have a few things holding me back! I love the rudimentary interior of the pre 2010 days and I actually feel like I'm rolling along in a wrangler not an SUV..parting with the old school style interior would be sad but something i could get over lol. The 3.8 has been strong but the power is just not there.. so, are there any real reasons as to not trading up to say a 12 or 13? Should I wait for possibly the model year change in 16? And finally..is the 3.6 that much better than the3.8? I have seen horror stories coming from the pentastar and the 6spd and it has me worried lol. Last question for y'all, what could I expect to be paying for another sport this time of year? Could I steal away with a 13 as the 14's are on order? Or wait for another day.. Thanks all! You will take a hit trading in regardless because a dealer is never going to give you what it is worth. They are going to look for every reason to keep your money. I would sell it outright.
