Welcome to New England, if you don't like the weather just wait a minute.

thats my summer time normal routine. in the next few days, the soft top comes off and the safari top goes on. i have it set up that i roll the safari top back to the rear most roll bar and secure it there with velcro "tape"

i use the best top trail cover at night when the weather person is calling for rain

i was in Maine last week and let me tell you that saying is extremely true! one morning we woke up to horrific thunderstorms, by lunch it was sunny and 80, by dinner we were huddled around the campfire shivering looking for our wool hats!

I like to have 24 hr of good weather at least. I can use a parking garage at work and use my garage at home. I usually do not use the garage at work, just leave her in the regular lot for everyone to admire. Thus far I have had to run out 3x and raise the top and ride home with no sides or back and a wet rear! Oh well, its just part of it right?

If the top isn't down for some reason, if it's not raining it goes down. It takes about a minute to put down and another minute to put back up (sometimes two if I have to unjam one side). I never have the windows on unless severe storms are likely/occurring.

Exactly my thought (having grown up in Chula Vista, I know that America was right: It never rains in southern California).

BTW: For the rest of us, one of these comes in handy when you decide to keep the top and doors off:

Well, it's much easier to explain a wet rear than a wet front, isn't it?

I should mention that I had a TJ and opened the top every possible chance. It's the @$#&^!!! 4-door JK top that gives me pause - not like the 2 door experience. Easily takes 4 times longer to raise/lower.

I leave the rear windows out of my soft top most of the time in the summer. I really just put them in if I'm planning on washing my Jeep. Given that I have an Unlimited, this means that I can drive very comfortably in cold/rainy weather and relatively quietly if I need to take a phone call during my morning commute into work.

When I leave work for lunch, I'll generally either open the sunrider or drop the top all the way. Unless a thunderstorm rolls in (one afternoon in three), I'll just leave it that way until after I get home that evening. Then I'll pop the top back up so that it's almost like a bikini top.
