Default Tire size help

I have a 2008 2dr with a 2.5" lift and looking for tires. Should I go with 33" or 35". I go to the beach/dunes 70% and the other 30% driving on roads.

I'd stay with 33" but I like the expedition style jeeps so I'm biased to keeping my tires close to stock. I'm not really much help on this one, just my opinion on the subject.

Did you get more then 2.5" of lift? Or was it pretty much bang on?
My only concern is if you are even entertaining the thought of 35's that's what I'd do. Too many of us have bought 33's only to regret it and end up with 35's

yeah big x2, I have 3" lift, started with 33's and was never fully happy with them. Moved up to 35's with 75% tread still left on my 33's.

35s would look great on a 2dr with a 2.5" lift. But if you do go that route you should consider regearing to 5.13s (possibly 4.88s) or the drive is going to suck especially with an auto.....

I have 35s and just put in 488 gears work great and I get 1 1/2 mpg better mileage. We live in FL and just got back from KY Jeep Jamboree and ended up with17 mpg and that included the trail rides. Go with 35s and regear.

Thanks guys for the help. I'm pretty sure ill go 35's I love the look and who doesn't want to be higher up. How much would changing the gears cost and if I don't could I run into problems into the future?

Oh and what size wheel spacers would you recommend? I'm stuck at 1,1.5,2" I don't care about how far they stand out just care about rubbing.
