Yeah I probably will keep my stock bumper since I've got the winch and lightbar attached to it. Any suggestions on which brand of towbar?
Blue Ox and Roadmaster are the biggest names in the game. I used a Blue Ox Aventa LX for years and it worked flawlessly. I also acquired a Roadmaster Falcon 2 from my dad, which I never used, but looked like a really nice unit. I'd suggest that you take a look on Craigslist around you and see if anything is out there. In my area there is a lot of supply, and these things can be had for 35-50% of new price. If you can buy the tow bar itself used, it goes a good ways towards having to pay full price for the corresponding baseplate. It's rarer to find baseplates floating around cuz most people don't care to uninstall them.
If you don't have one already, I'd really urge you to invest in some sort of supplemental braking system for inside the jeep as well.
Best tow bar is the BlackHawk 2 all terrain.
You can find them used for about 1/2 price.
I also use a RVI3 brake controler..same deal get used.
If like my JK its lifted use a GenY hitch just make some DOM support bars .
That is one hell of a receiver hitch you have I saw someone trying to sell that same tow bar right around me the other day....and only wanted $100 for it. I thought about grabbing it just to flip it back out. Too cheap.
I have a 2014 and installed a Currie industries baseplate. I really like it. Not sure it will fit on a 2018. I got mine used for $180. Less than one hour install. My baseplate did not mate with my road master tow bar, but adapters are available for pretty much any combination.

Great info guys. It seems like all the baseplates require cutting a piece out of both sides of the front skid plate. I kinda like the Blue Ox system. The brake systems seem to basically all work the same, they are a big ticket item though.

They may seem like a big ticket item, until you think about the value of the vehicle you are driving, the value of what you are pulling and the value of your life. Think about the damage a 5k lb boulder could do if it broke loose, both to your rig and others' property or lives. If the accident didn't harm you personally, it surely could financially. Don't think about it as wasted funds, cuz you can sell it later and recoup most of the cost. It's more of a "rental".

Tow Bar For '18 Rubicon
I saw someone trying to sell that same tow bar right around me the other day....and only wanted $100 for it. I thought about grabbing it just to flip it back out. Too cheap.
