towing limits???
whats the heaviest you think the 4door jk could pull? im wanting to buy a mud truck but the one i want isnt street legal. anyone pull another vehicle and trailor with there jk? if so how big of a vehicle etc.... thanks

I pulled a Wrangler CJ-8 on a trailer with my diesel JK. Let's say about 3000 lbs

all jks are a class 2 rating
Class 2: GTW up to 3500 lbs., maximum TW 300/350 lbs. (mid sized and full sized cars, minivans and SUVs
if you plan going anywhere near the max weight i suggest adding a break controller and Weight-Distributing Hitch
GTW= Gross trailer weight -The weight of the trailer fully loaded in its actual towing condition
TW = Tongue Weight – The downward force exerted on the hitch ball by the trailer coupler. In most cases, it is about 10 to 15 percent of the GTW. To tow safely, the tongue weight must be sufficiently positive when the trailer is empty and/or when fully loaded. Check the height of the tow vehicle's bumper before and after loading. If the loaded trailer doesn't drop the height of the bumper by at least another inch, then reposition your load with more weight in the front of the trailer.

good info.....so has anyone on here pulled a truck? i see the one guy pulls a jeep cj8 but im curious on vehicle? i read my manual and got the weight limits but im curious on if anyone has actually done it.

I towed a travel trailer (3200lbs) for 2 weeks around here and across the rockies with no issues but I put a brake controller on.
