Trade in, 2008 Rubicon for 2012 Sport
I am thinking about trading in my 2008 Rubicon Unlimited with 52,000+ miles for a brand new 2 door Sport and starting fresh. It will also cut my note down $170 a month. Bad idea? The Rubi has started having minor problems and right now they are giving me more value than I owe. Thanks for any advice...

Why ask, saving money + new Jeep = WIN it's a done deal in my book. I got rid of my 07 Rubi 2dr for a 11 4dr Sport, and luv it. Sure I miss the gearing and the bigger front end but my 373's work just fine. That new engine is a beast, I would've got a new one but I pretty much stole this one lol

Ever heard of debt?
You have to truly sit down and figure out how much it will cost you and determine if it is worth it.
Monthly payment does not equal cost. Figure total cost on amount owed (current vs. new) and interest rate as well as insurance and taxes differences.

I think you keep the rubi. You will really miss it it is way more jeep. I had a Sahara and now a rubi much more of a jeep. Keep it pay it off and then sink some money into it. You will be happy you did.
