I must just be used to it from riding motorcycles for years in san diego county. I could never catch a break.

Not at stop lights, but some parking garage exits won't lift because it won't sense a vehicle. Pain with people behind you.

Beat me to the punch.

Around here, the loops are embedded in octagonal slits.
Some places have circles.

I always chuckle when I see someone stop too far into the intersection and be past the foremost sensor, since they will be waiting forever unless someone else comes along.
Of course, there is usually some sympathetic road worker that puts a loop ahead of the stop line for those that don't know how to drive. -I certainly wouldn't.

Never gave it much thought, but I've had it happen about 5 times at the newer dual drive thru's where the other lane had a couple people go before they talked to me, had no idea it might be the Jeep not setting off a sensor.

wow... Ive been wondering about this for years.. their is a light close by that never seems to see me it would drive me crazy .. i figured it was something with the mud tires.. but now i know.. i would never know if the light was going to see me or not... had to run it many times.. had no choice or i would still be sitting their ! always wondered how those lights worked. thanks !
