I have a 4 door trektop nx. My understanding is that the newer trektop NX version has a sun rider flip back front section while the trektop has a roll back front section. My Trektop nx came with everything in the box needed including door surrounds and tailgate bar. I had a hard top only with no soft top hardware and the trektop nx had everything I needed.

Correct that the new has sun rider feature. And it comes with all hardware

Question on the nx top
Can it go completely topless like a regular soft top. I have a 2013 jku and it's a hard top. We have a trip coming up and I would rather run a soft top and go topless when we get to the river.

Yes. Although it doesn't fold back like a factory top. You have to completely remove it but it doesn't take much effort. I just roll the top and strap it to the rear.
