Trektop
I just bought the Trektop NX and it was pretty easy to install. Haven't gone completely topless yet, but it shouldn't be that difficult to do. I have had it down to the Safari top with the "sunrider" back. It fits nice and tight and wasn't too noisy on the highway with all the windows installed and the sunrider closed. Really happy with this investment.
The install was pretty straight forward, but depending where you are and the time of year you are in will dictate the ease of install. I am in Colorado and tried to install in the spring... window material was very rigid and it did not fit very well. I let it sit in the sun and inched the zippers down a little at a time until it was completely installed (I call it the zip and sip method: Zip a little... sip a little beer... Zip a little... sip a little beer). It took a while, so you may need to have a 6 pack on standby.
I followed this video from Bestop. One of the best "How to Videos" I have seen. The engineer is there to install it and they refer to customer feedback that highlights areas where people have complained. It follows right along with the manual in the box.
As stated, everything is in the box and the tools needed are basic. Have patience the first time you install it. It will be tight, but after leaving it on for a while it loosens up and installs easier each time.

Yes. Although it doesn't fold back like a factory top. You have to completely remove it but it doesn't take much effort. I just roll the top and strap it to the rear.

Thanks.
afpilot, do you run yours topless and then when needing to put the bikini part up? I've been looking at this top since I can't find an OEM top used. In the past i've have an OEM and i really liked how I could keep it on the jeep and not have it up. I only put it up for rain storms. Wanting to have that type of function again. Seems like the NX rolls up pretty well. Besides disconnecting the poles on top, is there anything else that needs to be completely removed to roll it up and store it on the back of the jeep like you have? hope this all makes sense.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Recently bought one for my 2dr. I went from a hardtop only and so far so good. Its a real learning curve as to how to assemble it and reassemble it. Over all I'm happy I bought it. It makes a great summer top. My biggest complaint is when I'm running without the windows as a bimini top the back of it flaps like its is hurricane when any higher speed driving. Like a lot of posts say it needs to be installed on a warm day in the sun and it needs time to fully stretch so all the zippers can be fully zipped.
