Default Trip Question

Hey all, got a question for everyone. I'm buying a Jeep and will be flying out to pick it up, the drive home will be around 1,500 miles. The Jeep has 37" tires on it. A buddy of mine says I shouldn't even attempt to drive it back because something will definately break on it. So, let me ask ya'll have you had any problems driving a Jeep on long trips with 37" tires or know anyone who has!? By the way its a 4-door.

Why would something break? You will be fine, outside of getting RAPED in gas mileage/fuel costs for driving 1500 miles.

Hell I put over 1500 miles in the first week after buying mine, it's running 35's and I've out over 6k since and no problems other than as aniemeier so clearly stated, getting RAPPED on Milage and fuel costs but ten if I wanted a boring vehicle that got great MPG, I'da bought a Prius LOL

That's why I had so many problems driving my Jeep on 35's to Moab and back. I wouldn't listen to your buddy.

If the Jeep is mechanically sound and all the requisite parts were installed with the 37's, you're probably fine.

Just made a 1100 mile trip on 35's. I got 15-16mpg.... not too bad at 70-75 mph. No problems other than getting used to the difference in road manners between a Lincoln MKZ and a lifted JK!!!!
