Default Turn in my jeep man card?

Ok-- I'm thinking about leaving my hardtop on for the summer. In years past it was off in April, but the winter that never ended delayed that. Now it's almost the end of May, and I figure only June will be spring like. One month nice before Maryland becomes a swamp for July, August and maybe September. I kinda like the idea of going to work and not looking like I ran a marathon. Air
Conditioning seems like a great idea--I can still remove my front panels--he'll, people ride hardtop and no doors of I was so inclined..
Am I a wuss?

Nope! Configure the Jeep the way you want it. A wuss would be afraid to.

No. It's your Jeep. Do as you please. I personally don't get those with a Jeep that *never* take the top and doors off, but not doing so during the week so you can look professional at work is hardly being a wuss!

If you're able, you may consider finding an inexpensive softop.

That way, you can take it down when you want and when it's up, you can cool down with your a/c

Being in Pittsburgh, we have similar (oppressive) weather. Run a safari top for shade and you won't sweat like you ran a marathon.

That's how I roll all summer, safari top and no doors and I'm never too hot on the way to work or home. The shade makes a huge difference.

I think there's a Fleetwood Mac song about this, "Go your own way". Probably a different context, but still, do your Jeep up however you like it. Now that song is stuck in my head

Having a low, 1 car garage I don't have the luxury of taking the whole top off. I take the doors off and leave the top on. When I drive around with my 1.5 yr old I only take the front doors off. Just don't want to deal with the bad parenting looks and comments. Although, having a Jeep and driving my kid around in it automatically makes me a great parent...

x2 The sun is brutal down here in Florida so I usually roll with the soft top on, plastic windows out and doors off
