Did you only take the wheels off when you spray painted all of that or part by part? Sorry, may be a dumb question.

I've used POR15 on my LOD rock sliders. I live near the ocean and EVERYTHING is rusting on my jeep; all chrome and painted surfaces on after market accessories are the first to start the bubble rot. I had the rock slides sand blasted and then I applied two coats of POR 15, followed by a coat of UV sealer. It wont chip or crack off like paint or powder coat so I don't have to worry about the abuse factor. I plan on doing my bumper next.

The stuff is like paint, but you have to be careful with it. Just pour out a small amount at a time and remember to put the lid back on (don't get any into the lid seal or you won't be able to get the lid back off!). I started with a foam paint brush, but found a small trim roller at home depot that worked great. If you take your time and do the prep work, it looks like normal paint but is tough as nails.

Hope this helps.
