Default Unknown JK Wrangler part - Do you Know?

Today I picked up my 2012 Black Wrangler Sport 2-Door with Hard-top only and black interior and I found this strange plastic part on the floor. It is dark brown and has >PP-TD20< written on it. Do you know what it is? The key is in the picture for a size reference. Click image for larger version

My guess is it's some sort of grommet for a bulkhead used to prevent wires from chafing as they pass through.

Nope nothing to do with the soft top...

Maybe it's a retainer clip for the transmission / transercase / parking brake during transport?

Doesn't look like it's very important. If you ever have any serious problems blame it on that piece. Even if it's completely unrelated. Use that little thing as an excuse for everything.

Actually, if you have a sunrider top, check the sliding bar that locks the sunrider top from folding back, maybe something was cracked and it would fall into the drivers area. Ludski gave me the idea.

The tag >PP-TD20< is about the material this part is made of: Polypropylene Homopolymer

I think next time I have a problem,I'm gonna blame that piece too
conversation with tech "no, no it's not the battery, it's the little plastic piece that was found in jaybirdtke's rig, i'm positive of that"

I stopped by the dealer and showed it to one of the mechanics who said it was probably used for assembly at the factory.
