upcoming changes in the Chrysler line up

Fiat diesels will power some Chrysler vehicles, the first being the Jeep Wrangler in 2010.
The 2011 Wrangler is due in the second or third quarter of 2010, and will have a standard Pentastar V6 with an optional Fiat diesel. The Scrambler pickup concept appears to be out of the picture; the AEV Brute may be increased in number and cut in cost thanks to Jeep involvement. Details: Two door Wrangler - Four door Wrangler (Unlimited) - Scrambler pickup.

Now I'm wondering which V6 engine we'll get in 10/11. Seems they have a 3, 3.3, and 3.6 with options for a turbo or twin turbo. It will be also used in the Maserati. So......since it is reportedly faster than a 4.7 v8 which ones will be get. The diesel should be here in the 4 th quarter and it looks like a possible redesign or a special model coming up for the 70th anniverary of the Jeep. However, check out the possibility of what's happening for the valve train. Oh for the good old days where the engine would carry you through the desert with the least number of parts to go wrong.

I would love to have a 2.8 diesel, jeep was never a race car, can't figure out what a lot of jeep owners are expecting from their rigs, buy something else if you want a sports car. IMO there really is nothing wrong with the mini van engine except its not diesel.

Still be cheaper for me to upgrade gears then think about trading in my 08 JKU for a 2011. I've gotten used to the 3.8L...not great...but better than some engines out there!! Also, no Rescue Green Color available!
