Default violent squeaking....

So i just abused my Rubi today... drove over trees that were at least 20ft tall with a 6" diameter... i mean... making my own trails... only inches of clearance on the sides of the fenders... sway bar disconnected, axels locked, 4LO for 90% of the trail... then i saw some water... but it was thick mud... up to the door frames... got out... i couldnt believe it... finally we got off of the trail and when i hit pavement my Rubi started squeaking violently... i mean, it was gut wrenching. I went to the car wash and for about 15 minutes power washed the under carraige and got most of the mud off and the squeaking stopped for a second and then started again... then i brought it to the local car wash... they washed it, cleaned the wheels a bit, the sound went away for about 10 minutes and then came back... any idea what could have happened? i'm thinking about bringing it to the dealership for them to check it out....

I see that "Tread Lightly" is YOUR motto. Can you possibly tell us at least the general area where the noise is coming from? Is it constant? Does it vary with RPMs? Or vehicle speed? I could give you a grocery list of different places that could "squeak" ...

from the front wheels... and when i'm turning hard right or hard left... yes, it does increase with speed.... i took the wheels off and tried to clean all of the remaining mud/rocks out of the brakes... the noise is still there a bit.

Sounds like you got a rock stuck behind the brake dust shield. Pull the rotor or the dust shield and see if anything else is stuck in there.

On a different note, It sounds like you had fun.
