Jeep Dealers:

The Jeep Wrangler 4 door is a phenomenon like nothing else in America. It is truly the hottest product in the US, and this kind of demand has not been seen at the Chrysler Group since the launch of the PT Cruiser.

We're selling alot of Wranglers in the BC. Were on pace for nearly 500 Wranglewr 4 door's in April. And limited only by supply. And the 2 door Wrangler is pacing for nearly 350 units.......thats 850 Wranglers in April. Pretty good numbers.

Rubicon 4 door demand has exceeded build program by 500%. The supplier for Rubicon Axles can not keep up despite working 7 days a week. The Wrangler plant in Toledo is also working 7 days a week.

There is inventory opportunity for several other Wrangler models. For instance the Wrangler 2 door is selling at higher levels than the old model and we're not even in Wrangler season yet. Wrangler 2 door is best in class, and we have barely scratched the surface of this model's retail potential. The 4 door Sahara Soft top is our best seller and accounts for nearly 50% of 4 door sales....with a days on lot or less than 40. Both of these models are available for schedule this month.

We need to work togeather and set customer epectations on 4 door Rubicon delivery. The facts are these: Rubicon is built out for May, and we are over-sheduled by a 100 units in this BC (build Cycle) alone. The normal "D" station time is 60 days at least. Jeep dealers receiving Rubicon and hard top stock will
continue to be difficult. The plant is working to produce aged sold orders at this time.
Please work with us and give your customer's a reasonable expectation for delivery of nearly 3 months on a sold order. Hopefully we can beat this delivery time. But one thing is for sure...........the Wrangler in the customer's driveway will definitely exceed expectations.

Thank you for working with us on this exciting product line.

That's funny.... they have to start production of CRD models now for european market, and there is a BIG expectation with CRD, 4 doors and rubicons.

I plan to order an unlimited Rubicon CRD manual as soon as I can seat inside one and see how big is it inside (I'm 2 meters tall).
Here (Spain) we are expecting to get demo cars in a pair of weeks, so demand will raise for May :-)

3 months my a$$...
I waited 4 months in BG status. And with May built out, it would have been 2-3 months more before I ever got it. Luckily I found one on a lot and bought it. My dealer was so discouraged he canceled the order. He said he's not sure it would have ever been built. 500% over sales forecasts? It seems someone doesn't know how to forecast sales.

Hopefully Jeeps new owners will have their $hiat together...

I'm starting to think I should change my Rubicon Unl build to a Sahara Unl... think it would be made any quicker? If they are having problems getting some Rubi parts, it might I guess.

Not sure how much better a Rubi is than a fully loaded Sahara (loaded with the swaybar dico, etc) for off-roading since I never had a chance to try the Sahara off-road yet.

My Wrangler doesn't exceed my expectations. Take that back....I didn't expect to have this many problems so I suppose it has exceeded my expectations

Well guys just hang in there and be patient, I called a dealer to day to check if they had the white rubi that showed up on the Jeep inventory search, Yea it was still there and now I know why - Msrp $32,945 said the price was $39,000 and I could buy it for $36945. HMMM! I think I'll wait and order one. Had a good laugh anyway.

To answer your question - yes - almost definitely you would get your Sahara order much quicker than a Rubicon order. In fact, Saharas seem to be fairly common on the lots and if you're so inclined, you could probably find one there without much problem.

I was thinking of giving the rubicon another couple of months and if it doesn't show buying something else..there is nothing to compare with the jeep..I wish a japan company had jeep it would be a far better product
