I use the Meguiar's line of products such as the shampoo, Quik Detailer, Trim Detailer, Natural Shine etc.

 

MR Clean car wash. No spots. just wash and let it dry.

 

Whatever soap/cleaning products you decide to use, just make sure you have two buckets. One for soapy water and one for rinse water. Use the rinse bucket constantly to keep from further ruining your Jeep's finish. If you only use one bucket, what's the point?

Wash from the top down and save the wheels/tires/flares/bumpers for last. Use a different sponge or mitt for those areas. Use a separate micro fiber towel for the soft windows.

If your Jeep is really muddy, your best bet is to hose off the big stuff with a pressure washer, then do the rest by hand.

The "foaming brush" at the coin car wash is so filthy and full of grit it will be putting swirl marks in your finish with every swipe.

As far as Turtle Wax Ice, I tried it a few months ago (the interior crap) and was pleasantly surprised. Not all greasy/shiny like armor all. Just nice and clean looking. Smelled nice too.

 

303 on the softtop as well as the rubber and plastic.

 

I use magic erasers on the fender flares and bumpers to clean them and then use 303 protectant for the finishing touch! The rest of the jeep gets a good old fashion dish soap washing!

 

for you guys using dish soap, do you know that you are actually removing any wax that you have or had on the jeep?
I use the Zaino line of stuff, it makes the dirt come right off for the next wash

 

To clear mud off the under carriage after wheeling, I turn an oscillating sprinkler on under the jeep for about 20 minutes to loosen up the mud before I get started.

Mequire's products all around on the rest.

 

I use Turtle Wax ICE all the way around, soap, wax, and interior. I don't wax the paint that often, but I use the wax on my plastic parts and it works great for me. It's about the only way I get my flares looking black again.

 

I wash mine when it needs it. With the heavy pollen where I live, the Jeep will gradually turn green this time of year. So, most mornings I'll rinse it off with the hose and dry it while driving. When I wash it, I try it with a synthetic chamois. I use Mother's paint cleaner wax to remove stains or minor marks in the paint. Generally, I use Mother's products, but use several types of plastic cleaners and dressings.

 

Turtle wax ICE series products are awesome and they dont leave white resdiue on the plastics after waxing thats what sold me...
