Default Is Washington state gonna bust my chops about my mods?

I have a slowly developing, somewhat credible opportunity to relocate to WA. My Jeep has stock fenders and the 35s stick out by at least a half inch on every corner.
Anybody in WA getting hassled by the police or vehicle inspectors about mods such as short bumpers and oversized tires? Don't want to have to make changes to the Jeep to register it there.

I used to live there and it is definitely much stricter out there the an where I live now. Hopefully someone local will chime in.

I don't think you will have any issues.

Worst case is they will make you put mudflaps on

IMO not an issue unless you're purposefully drawing attention to yourself -- speeding, being a jackass in traffic, etc.

WSP (Washington State Patrol) seems to pay more attention to equipment violations. They follow the law down to the letter, and they are unflinching about it. They're a great bunch of guys, serious about their jobs. Make sure you keep your front plate ON (It's required in WA).

I have lived in Washington State my life with a few exceptions, Chicago, Merced CA, Broomfield Co. My Pop is retired WSP, as already posted if you are cool they are cool. As for the front plate I have had two jeeps 05 TJ and currently 09 JK and have never had a plate and have never been hassled. I own several vintage sports cars without plates and again never been hassled. They are looking for the obvious punk that is being crazy. As for MODs my 09 is raw, chopped fenders, 4 inch lift, 35's, XRC bumpers with plenty of tire exposed. You will be fine.

Well it finally happened. My employer is transferring me from Texas to Washington. I've got 2300 miles of highway Jeepin' ahead of me in early February to move myself up there. Watch out, crazy person with no winter driving skills is inbound . Hey what's that white stuff falling from the sky?
