When I had my top off, I noticed there are some unprotected plugs on top of the sound bar, I'm wondering if a neoprene sleeve would be a good idea there.
As for the head unit-- the dash design seems like it'd do a decent job protecting it and the speakers from a light rain, but a heavy downpour w/blowing wind is another story.

This happened to me this weekend it started raining so i put my top up but i didn't have the windows. I was hoping it didnt rain too hard but i got a storm. I ended up getting about 3 gallons of water inside. Yesterday I pulled the carpets out and pulled the plugs and parked out in the sun. Everyting is dry and nothing got damaged.

I would buy a special model of the JK if they made one that was more weather proof or generally more utilitarian. Did they make earlier models with that in mind? Or were they always designed with drain plugs just in case water came in during water fording, etc?
