Default WD-40 on my JK?

I was told today by my uncle that he has been using wd-40 on his jeep and he says it makes it shine like Nothing else. I would like like to try this. Have any of you had experience with this??

Nope, but I found some gel based shine by eagle one, works miracles.

Never used it on my Jeep but it works putting it on your bait fishing for Sturgeon.

I used to use WD-40 on my dirt bike exhausts to keep them from rusting. I don't know about using it on paint though, and it attracts dust like no other. I would just use a decent quality wax.

ive heard of people putting it on their wheels before offroading to keep the mud from sticking.

I've used it to keep mud off the wheels. Not sure I would regularly use WD-40 on the paint. I would be worried about it destroying the clear coat.

Good to spray it on your aluminum rims in the winter keep the salt corrosion down, just don't spray it on your breaks

I've used to remove bug guts and road tar from many of my rides. I never have had an issue with paint, but never used it every where.
