What type of discounts are people getting on 08 Jeep Wranglers?
I got my '08 Unlimited Sahara at exactly invoice price, which was way below MSRP. I was even able to get $200 off my LoJack.
Just in case some people do not know... Invoice price is the cost of the vehicle from the Factory that the Dealership paid. MSRP, or sticker price, is the value that that dealership believes the vehicle is "worth" based on various elements. Such as, public appeal (Is it the new hot thing to drive right now?) and any additional fees tacked onto the price, also known as "convenience" fees.
NEVER pay these convenience fees. They are a blatant ripoff. Usually, most dealers slap on these fees just to see if a potential buyer will pay it.
If you buy a vehicle through the Fleet/Internet dept. you will almost always get a better deal simply because the Fleet dealers DO NOT work for commission, but on a yearly salary(most Fleet dealers, anyway). So, they don't make anymore or less money if they sell 10 cars in 1 month or 30. Granted, they usually receive some type of kickback from the factory for each vehicle they sell but their major income is simply working 9-9 everyday. The bottom line is that these car salesmen are in this to make some money... just like anyone else.(god, I sound like one of them, don't I...yuck) They have families just like we do... they have to feed their kids too. Of course, there is a difference between buying a car for fair-market value and grossly overpaying.
I applaud anyone who just bought a new Jeep. I just hope you didn't pay sticker price (MSRP) for it. Buying Jeeps helps our economy.

I just talked to my dealer. No more Owner Loyalty rebate, but according to him they came up with dealer cash to replace it. I would just be firm about it and get the $750 one way or another since you ordered during the rebate.
