What is your earliest Jeep memory?
My first memory was as a young kid. I had a Power Wheels Jeep when I was about 3. I loved that thing. It was red, had a big decal of an eagle on the hood. That was my first memory of "Jeep."
I remember when I was somewhere around 10-12 my dad has this car he was selling and he came home to try he had made a deal to trade it for a Jeep. I was so excited and pictured a topless and doorless ride. I went outside to be greeted by an 85 Cherokee with a 2.8. I went back inside, told him that wasn't a Jeep and spent the rest of the night in my room.
It was 1984. Me and some friends were counsilors at a summer camp in the North
Carolina mountains and we had the day off. So we rode around in a top down red 83 CJ-7 all day, then picked up some take-out pizza and went to the drive-in theater that night. Two of us sat on the hood with our backs on the windshield and had pizza and beer while watching the movie. I can't remember the movie now. I would not advise sitting on a JK hood but the CJ's sure could take the weight. Good times!
I was hooked on a Jeep ever since then so I bought a brand new 93 YJ for my 3rd vehicle and just recently traded it in for a new 12 JK for my 4th one 19 years later!

My dad had a CJ from the late 70's to mid 80's. I remember going for rides in the back with big brother in Dade county Florida. We fit 2 adults and 2 kids in that Jeep. So anyone who says the 2 door JK is not family friendly is delusional. We did it then and I'm doing it now.
