seems like a lot of folks on here do not like the standard warranty, I bet you get a lot of negitive responses on the one you have to pay for.
That is a high price for it, you can get it down from that...there are also different "packages", like for the paint, tires & wheels, ect. I went with the one that covered the A/C, electronics, and other stuff, because I plan on keeping it a while. Don't remember what I paid, but it wa way less than that. You can add it later, even from another dealer...I know there is a thread on here about that... good thing about time of purchase is that you can add it into the financing

$1600 is a good price if you are going to keep the jeep for a long time. I bought the warranty one month after purchsing the Rubi as I started to consider all the electrical stuff on this thing.

The origional dealer wanted $2400 for it but I learned thru the web I could get it for 1600 so I went to my servicing dealer asked if they would sell it for the web price and they did.

However, I have a stock Rubi and will keep it that way. Plus I will own it for a long long long time.

So if you are a long time owener then it can pay off, if you get rid of it in 5 years then your likely hood or payback will be much less.

remember one other thing, try and get them to lower the price some more. plus if you buy it when siging the papers it can go on the 0% loan.

Also with out it you do not get free rentals if it goes in for service.

It's rather difficult to wiggle out of a bumper to bumper warranty. The only kicker, is the $100 deductible. How does that read, do you pay the first $100,
does it include parts and labor to the $100 mark, or is it $100 in parts only.
I would like to read that policy.

PS: My JK was just built on 9 April and is now being shipped to dealer.
