I joined a general Jeep Club when I got my 2 door back in 2008. There was anti-JK guys on there, so much that the KJ Liberty guys were calling my JK "not a true jeep" - WTF was that about!!! So I said FUCK THEM and joined the JK-Forum!
If someone doesn't want to wave because my JK is more comfortable, Just as reliable and capable, better gas mileage, go right ahead. I'm still waving, because that's what Wrangler ownership is about. JK Envy is real, and I frankly don;t give a shit!

It's my theory that the guys or gals that are jeep veterans will wave back (if they are paying attention) because they git it and understand the commonality, spirit and brotherhood of jeep owners. then there's the newcomers that have a jeep just because its a"SUV"or sum salesmen sold it to them.....(allot of soccer moms out there)...and if your Windows are tented they mite not See you waving.

07XMan2Door, I notice the same hatred when the TJ first came out as well. 
I think the funniest thing is that a former coworker used to bust my stones after I bought my 07 Sahara 2dr. He refered to it as a Jeep "mini-van" because of the motor... not even a year later he buys a 4dr Unlimited -in fact he now has 2 4dr JKs
Without getting political, thankfully there will always be an aftermarket 
Too many jobs (tax payers) are involved in the aftermarket for the fed to completely shut it down; and if they did, the black market would arise, giving breath to a whole new illegal trade

They hate us because we can put 33's on without lift and 34/35's with little lift. I don't get this, should Jeep just stay with early 90's technology of the TJ and be done with it, without making it better? The only potential problem I see for the future is that the federal standards could hinder much more progression, especially with the aftermarket market.

Wouldn't be surprised if they start a "fee" for those that want to install aftermarket parts. Maybe I should erase this so they don't get any ideas...
