The axle strength issues doesn't hold water. 318 in a ZJ had a LP 30 in front and 35 custom in rear. Bleh!
'98 360 V8 had same LP 30 up front but an AL 44 in the rear.
Jk rear axle is as as strong. Front is MUCH stronger gear set and HP design so power is applied to drive side of gears compared to coast side.
An engineer at DCX, when Daimler was still involved, said it came down to emissions, mileage, and crash safety.

LOL! Don't believe in the internet but you post a link from the internet!
Wranglers come in different configurations, transmissions and differential ratios, weights and times can vary from the fastest and lightest 2 door sport 6 speed with 3.73 diffs to the heaviest but more capable and spacious 4 door Rubicon with auto. Times will be different and if you search enough you will find what you want.

There is absolutely zero way the stock jk does 6 seconds. That is almost hilarious to even suggest it. A hemi powered one sure but stock no way in hell. I'd like to know what the guy with the 2 in his name on this forum is going to get out of his 700+ hp hemi he is putting in his jk. With that he could probably do or beat 6 with his 40s (or whatever he is running now) but stock form no way is someone doing 6 second 60s.
