Yup I got 15's cuz of tire price and looks. I personally like 35's on 15's vs 17's better. That and i only paid $240 for 35" KM2's.

Thnx guys. I'm going to stick with 17's but I'm Definitely doing 33x12.5's regardless.
Due to funds, it will be a custom paint/powder coat job on the OE stuff.
Anyone good with PhotoShop?

just think about this.....

i just went on discount tire direct for you. thats where i got my wheels from.

5 wheels 33x12.50x17 (i chose general grabbers just to get a number) 280 each total is 1400 plus you'll get a 30 rebate gift card

5 wheels mb TKO (MINE) 15 inch with 5 goodyear duratracs (mine also) 33x12.50x15 total is 1465 plus 2 rebates one for 60 and one for 30!!!!

Also, with either purchase, you open a discount direct credit card and you get 0% for 12 months. pay them off monthly )FREE MONEY)

AND>>>>>> sell your stock wheels and tires on craigslist for at least $500. put that towards your new wheels and tires and youl get your whole setup for less then $1,000!!!!!!

While I agree with every thing you said, I have only one argument. Weight. The larger the tire the heavier it is. The larger the wheel, the less weight you remove from the tire. Per inch the tires are considerably heavier than the wheel itself.
To me, I'd really have to do some homework before I make my decision. That will be a long while.......

I really wouldn't base your decision on 15 vs 17 on that theory. Just a quick search showed this:
BFG KM2:
33x12.5x15 = 58 lbs
285/70R17 (33 x 11.5 x 17) = 59 lbs
305/65R17 (32.8 x 12.2 x 17) = 67 lbs
35x12.5x15= 61 lbs

That's just one tire I used as an example with specs from tirerack. Might wanna look into the specs for the tire you want run

That's is bizaar. U and I both know a larger diameter means less rubber less weight.
The specs don't make sense. Unless of course the side walls are more reinforced on the larger diameter tires in which case that would support the numbers.
Very interesting.

Yeah the 15's are a load range C. Everyone has their own preference. IMO you can't beat 15" wheels for 35's and smaller. Tires look beefier and have more sidewall to flex offroad. Absolutely nothing wrong with 17's tho, probably most popular size.
