Agreed. They do look beefier. And yes, the only problem I have is the price of demand. 17's are most common so price is high. I have been seriously considering 15's. I'm just torn on clearance issues with the brakes or anything else I might encounter in the future.
I most certainly would much rather pay $150 for 33's than $250 in 17's

PM discount tire direct on here. They have a list of 15's that fit with no issue. Some of them unfortunately been discontinued, but there are still quite a few options there

go on the cheap with the rims and go 15s but don't get steel (too heavy) - if you wheel, your wheels will get rock rash anyways so why spend a ton of cash there? If/When you upgrade and find that you need to change em out, your loss will be minimal esp if you resell the old wheels. not to mention the greenbacks you'll save on tires, extra sidewall and beefiness too JMHO
