They fooled the USA for sure. I guess most Americans don't realize this:

NOT this:

An FJC just DOES NOT compare with an LC70 and I've wheeled both.

Put her in a Sahara with heated leather seats and a gps and pioneer sound system and maybe matching top and fenders. she'll change her mind. Or maybe an anniversary edition.

I wheel around here all the time with a buddy in his FJ. I'm actually impressed with where it can go, but it also drags, skids, and scrapes it's way where I can just crawl and flex. He bought his FJ because of his experience wheeling Toyotas overseas, but I can see the disdain in his eyes when I can keep 4 wheels touching climbing a 42" rock while he can't make it 30" without major wheel lift. I also don't like the feeling of driving in a dark tub.

@Chango, when I lived in NZ we had several LC70 Troopies for work. Those things were beasts! I'd still rather have my JK, but I'd take an LC70 over an FJ any day!

Yep, I think Toyota sold a lot of FJCs because of that. I'm a victim too; I drove a LC70 down in Bolivia and LOVED that thing...When the FJ came out I hoped and prayed it would be like the LC70, but alas... it was not.

Sorry, I should use the correct "FJC" huh? Wouldn't want to confuse people thinking I'm talking about a bad-ass FJ-40 like the one in your post

Had a few friends in high school and college with those and they were fun (well, exciting...talk about tippy on the highway! ha!)
