Does Ford make a Jeep Wrangler???

Naw... but if there was a REAL bronco again, I'm sure you'd lose a few jeep fans...

Ok dropped Wilbur off for service this afternoon. Said they wouldnt be able to look at it till tomorrow, which i already knew. I had made the reservation online, and they had all the info pulled up and printed out in 5 mins. Said he would call tomorrow afternoon and if it had to stay past that they would provide transportation. I was going to ask about that but i didnt have to! :D He also mentioned that this sounded like a 4 door they had worked on, and had to replace every wiring harness in the tub, as well as the BCM and a few other control modules until they finally got it resolved... :eek2: I was like....thats not what i wanted to hear!!!!!! :crazyeyes:

:crazyeyes: Ok well, the dealer said that they started it 150 times :eek2: Thank you very much for wearing out my starter!!!!!! :mad: ) and couldnt replicate the issue. :waiting: So i decided to wait a little while to see if Chrysler would wise up to the situation as the vehicle eventually does start everytime. Not like it leaves me stranded. So they have now released a TSB for this. here http://project-jk.com/images/tsb/TSB_08-023-07.pdf called the dealer today and sceduled the 500 mile oil change, perform this tsb and check for wind noise if it isnt raining again. Manager seemed pleasant and eager to get the issues resolved. :yup: will update after Thursday's trip up there

150 TIMES?!!! They ought to replace the starter just for that reason! Hopefully it wasn't consecutive starts!

:eek2: I asked and he said it was a figure of speech....he said they did it at least 20-30 times during a day and a half...:crazyeyes: I replied why didnt you just put that down then? he just shrugged :thinking: :nuts:

VOLJEEPX 10-22-2007 12:30 PM

Well, at least they documented something in case you have a problem down the road with the starter.

James76 10-22-2007 01:02 PM

Starter is included in the powertrain warranty so :bleh: They have to replace it either way

:eek2: Well that was worth the trip down to the dealer! Got home late so i had to do the early bird drop off, fill out the form drop the keys in the box etc. It was really cold out so i decided to go in the showroom and sit down. Walked up to the finance counter to borrow a pen and he gives me one and says you can keep that if you buy a viper :D I was like how bout i buy the pen and you give me the viper ;) . Ended up giving me the pen. I moved to the side because some salesmen were dancing around waiting to talk to the guy to get #'s. Filled out my paperwork and said thanks for the pen. Started to walk away and he says hold on a minute. What kinda car are you dropping off? I said an 07 wrangler, just bought it 2 months ago here. Hes like oh ok, whats wrong with it? Told him about the cam sensor and oil change. He turns around reaches into a drawer and pulls out this nice hat and says, you need a Jeep hat to go with that new JK ;) Thanks for stopping by!

Me ---> :eek2:

Either he was just being nice or their customer satisfaction is in the pits and thought he could buy a positive response with a free hat :rotflmao1: Either way i will take it! :yup: I will post the results of the service visit tomorrow hopefully they ordered the new cam sensor monday when i called in.
