Default Winch test. Passed!

Got out of this mess. A manhole was closer than a tree so I hooked up to the ladder.

After I pulled the grate off, of course...

I did the same thing in new construction behind my subdivision. Buried it up to the frame. I was winchless though. Took an F150 about 10 tugs before I got out.

Engo 9000# non-synthetic. Took apart the wired remote and mounted the switch under the dash.

Need to get a different switch. One that cuts power to winch with a rocker for the line. Not sure what to get though.

Glad you got out okay. Was that a construction site ? Permission from the builder ? If not, it could have turned out pretty bad.

Yes. No. Agree %100.

Didn't realize that was a mud pit when I came at it from the back. If that manhole wasn't there I could have been screwed. Nearest tree was close to 100' away.
