So in my tj i went thru 2 windsheilds in about the 2 years ive owned... Now i have gone thru
1 in less then 3 weeks old... Why does this happen to me....

 

On my 3rd in my 07

 

1st one for 2 years got my jeep used!

 

I think I had about 2000 miles on my 2012 when it got a stone chip right below the mirror. I thought I could just have it filled, but I didn't even make it home before it cracked all the way a crossed. I was bummed. Get it fixed and you'll feel better.

 

Hopefully its still 80 bucks like the tj was....

 

I cracked mine about 5 months ago & am just waiting for fall to get another

 

I went through a couple on my '97 TJ, 3 on my '00 TJ, 1 on my '03, 2 on my '07 JK and so far 1 on my wife's '09 JK.

With the Wrangler windshield sitting a bit more upright than that of a car, it is more likely to crack from impact... the angle on a cars windshield allows a rock to skim across, making less of a chip/divot.

Lesson learn after my '97, don't draft off of trucks

I am researching jeeps (first post here BTW) and my DD (2202 Civic SI) has had 3 windshields replaced. Thing is a freaking rock magnet.
Should be getting a JKU soon - hopefully when I do finally get one the rocks will stay away.

 

bahaha... i got a chip while driving my jku home from the dealer

 

07 on my 3rd one as well. Had issues on the second one being replaced.
