Default would like to hear from 35", 3.73 people

Recently picked up a 2008 X unlimited and would like to put on some 35", but don't plan on regearing from 3.73 at this time. Would like to hear from people with this set up on expected performance (street, trails, crawling). Should I just go with 33" until regearing in the future?

I have heard/seen on here many time that people say it is fine, ok and a dog. I think it depends on the terrain you typically drive such as long flat roads or hills. Hills being bad. I'd say go for it, I will be doing the same in the near future. And I have 3.73

I have no complaints , better than I expected. But I dont do any rock crawling , nor do we have any big hills.. That could change things.. But for now I am very happy with 3.73 and 35s.. But im not a 4 door that would make a difference in power.

I have 35's as well. Around town it is fine. When I get on the highway I have to turn O/D off to maintain any speed.

I can't even imagine 3:73 with 35's. I have a 4dr auto that had 4:10s and changed to 5:13s. It helped but still not what I expected. With a 5 speed and a 2dr maybe you could get by. I'm not even sure for what it cost for the 5:13 swap it was worth it. Don't get me wrong it's better but just not what I expected.

I've got a 4 dr X with 35's, auto trans, and 3.73 gears. Doesn't dog as badly as I'd expected but the 10 mpg I'm getting is worse than I'd imagined it would be. I'd hoped for at least 13 mpg. I've got nearly 4,000 miles on now and have only driven on the highway twice - both times she handled great (considering I don't have cruise control).
