they seem to be rating SUVs capable of going off road, not off road capability. what garbage! doesn't make any sense.

when a jeep compass and a suzuki whatever makes it above a wrangler you know they are appealing towards soccer moms who don't use a jeep like it should and intended to be used for

That is a BS ranking system. I guess they are rating SUVs with 4x4 and that as far as the off road judging goes. What a joke.

Sad thing is alot of people will buy those vehicles thinking they are real 4x4's. What a crock. Anyone else notice there was no category for "Off Road" capability even though thats what the whole thing is about. I wonder how much Ford payed US News.
