I can't see GM buying Chrysler or Jeep for that matter but if they did, I'd give it 2 years and Jeeps can say good-bye to the solid front axle setup. Even GM's 1 ton trucks have IFS! I've had 2 Blazers (one of them a ZR2), 2 GM pickups and both my family and my wife's family have had more GM's than I'd care to count and their main limitation is their front end. I know I went through ball joints and control arm bushings than I'd care to remember. that's the biggest reason I drive what I drive now...an 05 F-250 4x4 diesel. I've got a 4.5 inch lift on it with 36 inch IROKs and I can beat on it until the cows come home and everything is as good as it was 30,000 miles ago. with the 05 ZR2 Blazer i had, I went through 2 sets of ball joints in 12000 miles and I didn't really abuse it much. I won't even go into what a piece of junk that 4.3 V6 was...my 3/4 ton ford gets better mileage! the H2 and H3 are jokes in my book. I've driven them both on and offroad and would steer clear of both of them. I drove a buddy's JK for a day a couple weeks ago and we're heading to the dealership this week to put in our order before the build deadline comes into effect. why? because in a nutshell, it just makes sense. SFA, removeable tops, availabiliity of lockers, sway bar disconnect, etc etc etc....things that make a Jeep a Jeep. I'm just sorry I never had one before now!
I just hope this rumour isn't true.

It's called a Landrunner conversion. You can see all the details

But at least this has the Wrangler running gear...

It does seem to fall into the same category as the Renegade.
I forgot about that one. I still have my sales brochure from '88
that shows it.

At first glance, it looks like some plastic kid's toy... at second glance, it looks pretty "tough," but that's a concept edition... take away the huge tires and various other "showy" features that will never see production, and it'll still suck like a Hummer should! It looks just good enough that I have no doubt it'll sell very well among those with tiny penises - you know, the TYPICAL Hummer buyers. :toung:
