Wrangler- Clunker to Avoid List?
With all the talk about build quality, thought some would find this interesting:

http://ww.forbes.com/2010/11/04/clun...s_slide_8.html
(Note to admins, I'm directly posting the URLs since these two links are NOT competitor forum sites or sponsors).
For what it's worth, my '08 JKU has had minimal problems (just the steering clunk and a-pillar noise taken care of by duct tape). No leaks (soft-top, oil, diffs, or otherwise), but maybe I got lucky?

By crap, do you mean my thread, or Jeeps?
Look, I already said my JKU has been good to me... Just thought it was interesting that it showed up on the Forbes list. Chill...

Sorry. Lack of coffee induced grumpiness probably caused me to sound worse than intended. I am getting tired of threads pointing out how the general car reviewers hate jeeps, then we all chime in with the same responses, that's all. Nothing against you or your jeep. Love my jeep too and disagree with the bad press.
"Seven Clunker Cars To Avoid"
Yes, I suppose if you test a Jeep thinking that it is a car, you might want to call it a clunker. Who cares? Just one more thing for that den of conservatives to totally misrepresent in the world.

By the way my 7 week old 2010 has had no warranty issues at all (knock on wood...my head). I've had no creaks, rattles, leaks, etc. I've crawled under it every which way and can find no paint colors that don't belong or any of the other stuff folks fuss about.
I realize that Chrysler quality has been questioned for a while now but if you want a Jeep you don't have a choice do you? I wanted my Jeep......LOOOOVVVVE MY JEEP and am so far pleased with everything. Maybe I got lucky....no...I'm thinking Chrysler has been gettin' their act together.

I love Jeeps too but their build quality leaves a lot to be desired.
I won't go into the list of crappy components used on the Jeeps that fail from street driving only or the many other issues that happen with these Jeeps because its been said many times before.
Ill just say I have never had such a poorly built vehicle as my JK. I have 32K on the clock and would sell it, if not for all the money I invested replacing weak stock components with aftermarket.
It is true though, if you want a Jeep you only have one choice. Its a shame Chrysler does not strive to produce a more stable/better quality vehicle or a competitor step up and build something to rival it.
