If you're planning to replace axles & transfer case, would a 2wd be an even cheaper option? Seems crazy to toss out the front axle and transfer case when you could start without them.

I have a build up budget that I am trying to stay within. The most expensive mod is in the D60's from Dynatrac. I spoke with a rep there today and I will also give Offroad Revolution a call to get all their opinion and advice b/c I will probably have them perform the work.

Thanks to everyone.

If your going to modify your jeep buy the x and build it your way or spend the $9,000 extra and let Chrysler do it. And then modify it more. I bet your gonna want to pick your ring & pin, lockers, tires, and so on.... go with the xme

IF you haven't bought yet you may want to look at one of our sponsors CURRIE ENTERPRISES they have axles that would hold up to hard wheeling and 37 to 39 tires for a couple grand less than DYNATRAC ...... I forgot the thread but as I remember the the price was like $3500 not $5600........

Maybe just check them out before making your final decision !!!!

NO !!!!! I do not work for them and I have not purchased their product YET !!

If I could do it all over again, I would get a 2WD Unlimited with a rear locker.... $22K

Buy a 4 speed Atlas transfer case... $3,000
Buy a front axle................................$1,500
Buy two drive shafts ........................$800

Have one kick arse jeep....................Priceless
