I'm guessing those big meats broke the spare tire mount and it was being welded back on.......

You guessed it! The tire carrier had already been welded back together once and this time it broke in a different spot. What I saved on the bumper I am spending on welding....penny wise but pound foolish.

I did find anew toy I am going to buy out of the trip so all is good!

Yes you are correct Mr Clackey - Military 6000lbs rated tyres weighing 205lbs each on a rancho bumper started to split the weld pretty bad even though it was reinforced before the trip.

As you like your GPS here is the track from the top via briggs cabin camp with a few side routes that are great wheeling.

Second night we slept at Warm springs kind of 5 stars for the area

Wind was very calm
daytime was around 77 degrees
nights about 54 degrees

sunday when we exited was kind of overcast which was great with the sunrider top open, flying along the rollercoaster to Shoshone with 2 miles of gas in the tank
